DPCI Accepted into Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Program for 5th Year in a Row

Microsoft Implementation Work Still Growing Swiftly for DPCI Despite Unprecedented Growth of Open-Source Content Technologies Projects

New York, NY - Feb 24, 2010 - DPCI today announced that it has been accepted once again by Microsoft Corporation into the distinguished category of "Microsoft Gold Certified Partner" for 2010. DPCI maintains its organizational competencies in Information Worker (content management), Data Management (database and warehousing), and Custom Development (.NET) solutions. This is DPCI's 5th year in the Gold Partner program and 10th year as a Microsoft partner.

As a Gold Certified partner, DPCI has demonstrated expertise with Microsoft technologies and measurable ability to meet customers needs. Microsoft Gold Certified Partners receive a rich set of benefits, including early access to technologies, training and support, giving them a competitive advantage in the marketplace. With its comprehensive array of solutions on the Microsoft platform as well as its extended technology partnerships in the Media & Entertainment industry, DPCI offers its customers a compelling blend of subject matter expertise, technological excellence, and breadth of service.

"As DPCI grows in its expertise around content management technologies, one thing that has been surprising to me is the continued growth in the area of Microsoft technology implementations to support our customers' content platform needs," said Joseph Bachana, President of DPCI. "While so many organizations are relying on open-source solutions to meet their needs, we have been impressed by how many of our customers are asking us to deliver robust enterprise content technology platforms using Microsoft tools and technologies."

“Customers are looking for partner companies that can bridge the gap between their business demands and technology capabilities,” said Allison Watson, corporate vice president of the Worldwide Partner Group at Microsoft Corp. “They need to trust in a company that can act as an expert adviser for their long-term strategic technology plans. Microsoft Gold Certified Partners, which have certified expertise and direct training and support from Microsoft, can build a positive customer experience with our technologies. Today, Microsoft recognizes DPCI as a long-standing Gold Certified Partner for demonstrating its expertise in providing customer satisfaction using Microsoft products and technology.”

As one of the requirements for attaining Gold Certified Status, DPCI must declare formal Competencies with Microsoft technology. Microsoft Competencies are designed to help differentiate a partner's capabilities with specific Microsoft technologies to customers looking for a particular type of solution. Each competency has a unique set of requirements and benefits, formulated to accurately represent the specific skills and services that partners bring to the technology industry.

“Our developer partners such as DPCI enable us to deliver high-quality solutions and applications to our customers,” said Joe Marini, Director, Development Tools Ecosystem at Microsoft Corp. “As the demand for applications built on the Microsoft platform continues to grow, there are more opportunities for providers of custom-developed applications than ever. The Custom Development Solutions Competency provides partners with a way to showcase their expertise delivering custom-built solutions to customers, to enhance partners’ revenue opportunities and positioning them for growth.”

“Partners like DPCI play a critical role in delivering solutions and applications to customers leveraging the Microsoft Office system,” said Jigish Avalani, managing director, Microsoft Information Worker Partner Ecosystem. “The value of solutions competencies is that they enable Microsoft to deliver resources and training to partners meeting their customer needs. And for partners, the opportunity to highlight their expertise to customers is tremendous in the growing information worker solutions market.”

Testimonials

The conversion to InDesign and K4 has revolutionized the way our editorial and art teams work, but the transition hasn’t been easy. As with any major initiative, there has been lots of uncertainty and some unforeseen consequences. Throughout the conversion, we have relied on DPCI to help us through the rough spots.
With technology projects like this, the software and hardware usually get all the attention, but none of it works without the right people. The staff at DPCI are about as easy to work with as a tech vendor can be.
