On April 27th, 1999, I incorporated DPCI with some very specific goals in mind. I had just completed working for a very large tech company that went belly-up for being very slipshod with their operations and way too horizontal (AKA, NO strategy). In essence, I just got tired of working for people that had no vision and were making a mess of things by just focusing on making money, not creating specific value for customers. If anyone remembers the late '90's in tech, there was a lot of that going around.

Picture this

You are managing a massive web development project. Sitting down with your client, you step through each of the requirements line-by-line. Here are my responses to questions asked at an online 'town hall' meeting that occurred Tuesday, September 18th for the Drupal Association's annual Board elections. I am currently running for a seat on that board.

This year there are an incredible number of terrific candidates, so while I don't love my chances for election, I bring a different set of skills from many of the existing board members as well as those running. If elected, those who know me can attest that I will do the best job I can in representing the needs of the Drupal community.

In it, I present my view of where things are headed with respect to creating and editing content in a media independent manner so that it can be delivered to print, Web, or mobile devices.
