Great article and interview of Louis Landry, who has been a key contributor on the Joomla! opensource Web CMS project. Louis is really candid about where things stand with Joomla and some of the issues that the project team members are addressing.

I was recently interviewed by Matt Kinsman of Red7Media on the state of Web content management systems and what small publishers should be thinking about when implementing a new solution (if they are able to fund it at this point).

 There was some stimulating dissent on that page, and since the commenting module appears not to work on that site, I took the liberty of posting my rebuttal here. Will get my comment up on that site as soon as they chase out the issue.

Heres a link to a quirky analysis on "CMS" solutions. The truth is, you probably could put ANY kind of software product on this matrix and ask the same questions, since quite frankly some of these products bear no resemblance other than the vendors call them either WCMS or CMS or ECM 'solutions.'

Here's a BLOG I just read by Neal Ford on his Meme Agora site. Neal and his readers that commented beneath the blog are strenuously against the movement toward RIA frameworks. I thought I'd post this quick note out here.

Just finished reading Tony Byrne's latest blog, entitled "The Case Against Flex-based Application UIs." If there's one thing you can't do, its accuse Tony of not speaking his mind! Tony comes down hard on the trend that Web content management vendors have been following by building their client applications using Adobe Flex.

These past few months I have been thinking a great deal about the volumes of information that the team at DPCI can receive from customers throughout the course of any project. This information can be about the customers' business or functional requirements, their information architecture, system architectures, data dictionaries, use cases, technical specifications, site maps, wireframes, taxonomies, and so on.
