Just a few quick notes and thoughts on Day 1 of the Henry Stewart Digital Asset Management Symposium.
Overall the show is looking a little smaller this year, with some vendors opting to walk the floor rather than spending money on a booth.
The show seems to be well attended, with a good mixture of organizations that are new to digital asset management and those that have already implemented a solution but are looking to extend it or get more information on best practices.
Video asset management is still a hot button issue this year, with a number of large organizations looking to implement a digital asset management solution that can handle all of their broadcast needs, from delivery of HD content to distribution of video assets that are transcoded on the fly.
XMP integration with digital asset management systems is getting a lot of buzz this year as well -- both on the vendor side, with case studies on implementations, and on the customer side, with successful use cases.
We'll have more updates tomorrow, with additional thoughts at the conclusion of the show.
