Built for demanding workflows, InDesign integrates smoothly with Adobe Photoshop®, Illustrator®, Acrobat®, InCopy®, and Dreamweaver® software; offers powerful features for creating richer, more complex documents; and reliably outputs pages to multiple media. With its sophisticated design features and enhanced productivity tools for streamlining repetitive tasks, InDesign lets you work faster and better than ever.

Adobe InCopy CS5.5 software is a professional writing and editing program that tightly integrates with Adobe InDesign® CS5.5 software to enable collaborative editorial workflows. InCopy is used to generate written content which can be moved to InDesign and then seamlessly edited once the content has been laid out on the page using an editorial workflow system like the K4 Publishing System.
InCopy’s advanced editorial tools make writing content to fit specific layouts a snap by allowing text styles to be brought in directly from InDesign. By styling text in InCopy, editorial staff members ensure that they are working with accurate copy-fit and line break information. InCopy also includes Track Changes, a familiar tool for editors who commonly work in Microsoft Word or Notes. This feature allows for editing an article without affecting the overall word count and copy-fitting.
In addition to giving editors a text-editing interface, InCopy provides users with a Layout view, allowing them to see their story as it will appear on the page. Users can edit text in this view using many of the same text attributes available in InDesign allowing editors to write headlines that fit the space allotted for them on the page. Editorial staff can also create tables from scratch, import styled tables right from Word and Excel, turn tab-delimited text files into tables, or work with complex tables built in InDesign. Finally, InCopy provides support for import and export of many different formats of text including Microsoft Word, Excel, RTF, ASCII, and XML.
