This is a glossary of Wiki Terms.

Marketing Resource Management - Marketing Resource Management (MRM) refers to the technology used to support planning, design and production within marketing. Often times, a MRM solution contains functionality to manage the planning, production workflow, brand assets, and distribution of marketing materials.

Mashup - The act of combining content from multiple sources into one offering. The
concept of mashups has been around in the music world for a long time, where the
music from one song was blended with new vocals (or vocals from another song).

In recent years, publishers have been seeking ways to tag content in such a
way to allow them to combine interrelated elements by topic or keyword. These
mashups essentially create infinite opportunities for reuse of content to create
new offerings.

Metadata - Data about a file or asset is used to locate and organize files. Metadata can include physical properties of a file (size, width/depth, DPI, color space, file type, etc) or user-defined based upon a pre-defined schema.

Module - A segment of an application system that is distinct in function but interrelated to other portions of that application system. An example of two modules of one system would be a production module and a billing module.

Multivariate Testing (also called A/B Testing) - A process by which more than one component of a website may be tested in a live
environment. Companies perform multivariate testing to determine which versions
of a piece of content will perform better. This can include which will generate
more page views, or which will 'convert' the reader to an action.

Multivariate testing requires some analytics appliance to measure. Most
products like Google Analytics, Omniture, and Nielsen Net Ratings have
functionality that allow for multivariate testing.

Testimonials

From guiding us through the requirements phase and developing the system, to helping manage the initiative, DPCI has been a great partner for us. The new content management system implementation was a huge project that has been a major success. I now have the peace of mind, knowing that our infrastructure is stable and scalable.
