Wiki

This is a glossary of Wiki Terms.

XHTML (Extensible Hypertext Markup Language) - An extension of HTML that conforms to XML syntax. Well-formed XHTML conforms to stricter specifications than HTML, thus allowing web browsers to parse its code with less effort.

XMP (eXtensible Metadata Platform) - A standard metadata format created by Adobe Systems, Inc, and used to describe data about digital files. Many software applications and image capture devices such as digital cameras and scanners use XMP to automatically describe information about a file. A Digital Asset Management system can then use this data to catalog files.

XSLT (Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations) - A programming language used to describe how to transform one XML document into another XML file (usually with a different structure) or another file format, such as HTML or plain text.
